Lizzie Fan first encountered Intel while in graduate school, where she attended a scholarship program sponsored by the company. She was then inspired to learn more about Intel’s culture and immediately after receiving her master’s degree, Lizzie joined Intel as a College Graduate. She has now worked as an engineer in the Internet of Things Group (IOTG) for 9 years. One year after joining the company, she married her husband, a fellow Intel employee, and they started a family together. She says, “My 9 years at Intel have been the most unforgettable time during my life of growth both in career and family.”As a leader of an international team in IOTG, Lizzie has cultivated her supervisory capability and thrives working with and through people. Thanks to Intel’s push for greater inclusion and gender diversity in the workplace, Lizzie is impressed by the career development curriculum specially aimed at female employees. She also appreciates the consideration shown by her manager and colleagues. “I feel that I can comfortably express and share my opinions at any time here.”
Intel’s relaxed work environment and flexible working hours make it possible for Lizzie to balance her work, home, and family life. As a working mother, Lizzie says it’s great to have work-life balance at Intel, and she looks forward to continuing her pleasant journey, both in her career and her family.
