This blog was posted on behalf of Aleksander Stankiewicz who is an Engineering Manager at Intel Gdansk, working as part of a Datacenter Connectivity team who enable Intel’s networking product customers to unleash powerful solutions using Intel Ethernet products. The team is engaged everywhere where high speed Ethernet is needed from Autonomous driving, 5G mobile network, supercomputers.
When I first came to Intel, my role was to set up and manage a new platform application engineering team. From there, I gained experience across different areas before being tasked to build out a center of excellence for customer support. Today, my team works in a number of exciting areas, including supporting automotive infotainment systems and next generation networking technology.
For a science fiction fan like me, working on the technology of the future is a dream come true! It’s incredibly motivating to know that you are part of a team creating technology which, 20 year ago, might have been considered ‘magic’.
A Big Company with a Strong Team Culture
Intel might be recognized as a big, global corporation, but that hasn’t negatively impacted the strong team spirit here. Each day I have the opportunity to work with, and learn from, incredibly talented colleagues and friends both in Poland and around the world. The people here make work feel more like home—and at the end of the day we find time together to enjoy the events and activities organized under Intel’s Great Place to Work banner. This positive atmosphere is what makes the difference. On our team, you never walk alone.
The benefits package here is extensive and rewarding—from simple things like picking up a free apple in the canteen in the morning to bonus payouts, stock programs or medical insurance. The flexible work culture allow us time to explore Gdansk, particularly outdoor activities such as sailing, martial arts, skiing or simply just relaxing by the seaside.
Where Every Day is a New Adventure
It’s really exciting to be part of a company developing technology that can power high-speed internet, enable remote surgery, or bring autonomous driving to life.
Working here is a true adventure, and a tremendous responsibility. We fully live in this information era, and our work at Intel is shaping the world—for our children and our children’s children.
