We’re back… on campus, that is

Welcome back!

The Intel U.S. College recruiting team would like to take a second to welcome students back to campus after what was, hopefully, a productive and relaxing summer. It has been a busy time for the hundreds of interns at Intelwho have been working hard to complete their assignments, attend professional development events, while still somehow finding time to play on nights and weekends.

While our team did find time for a few quick vacations here and there and a couple of team member’s sabbaticals, our summer has been busy planning for the fall recruiting season. After a spring recruiting season marked by an uncertain economy, we are ready to find and hire the best college talent available for 2010, including BS, BA, MS, MBA and PhD students in a broad variety of engineering, science and business related disciplines.

While our plans are still being finalized, it looks like our College Grad (CG) and Intern hiring for 2010 is looking strong, which translates into lots of opportunity for you! To make sure Intel is connected with the best student talent, our team will be crossing the country to connect with students. We will be attending career fairs and national diversity conferences, hosting technical talks, information sessions and networking events, blogging and hosting a variety of “virtual” events to allow students that we can’t meet face to face the opportunity to learn more about the breadth of career options at Intel.

To learn more about Intel opportunities, visit our Student Center. Take a look at our “Where do I Fit?” matrix for a comprehensive look at the types of disciplines we hire from and where you could fit in at Intel. Also, be sure to check out the Recruiting Events Calendarto find out when we will be in your area. And look for a blog post in a few weeks that will talk about how to be prepared to meet with recruiters on campus.

We’re excited to meet you!

  1. Hi Patrick! How are you? I am not sure how many ChemEs we’ll be hiring at the BS level this year. We’ll definitely be at the UCLA Career Fair and I’ll have hiring managers with me who hire ChemEs. If you’re curious about when we’ll be on campus in the future, check out the “Recruiting Events Calendar” (bottom left on the left-hand menu) at http://www.intel.com/jobs
    Hope you’re well!

  2. Hi Dani
Thank you very much for the info! Im looking forward to see you at UCLA’s career fair this year and other Intel’s hiring managers.

  3. Hi Dani,
I’m interested in visiting your recruiters @ Michigan State University later this month. I’m an experienced sales guy with an electrical engineering degree I received 20 years ago. Would you recommend I meet with your recruiters? or are they looking only for new graduates? Thanks in advance for all your help!

  4. Hi Dani
I have graduated with a master’s degree in EE from new mexico state university in dec 2008. I have worked as an intern for 1 year in 2 companies in the bay area. Would you recommend I apply for the RCG positions or the experienced positions.
Thanks in advance for your help

  5. Hi Roopa! We consider anyone who has graduated within the past 18 months to be a recent college graduate. So I would encourage you to apply for the RCG positions up until June of this year (don’t worry – in the screening questions for each position you will be able to show us that you do indeed have some experience). After you hit the 18 months past your graduation mark, you will only be eligible for experienced positions.

  6. Hi Dani,
I applied for the Finance Analyst position in October and was wondering when you would expect to hear back. If perhaps not hearing back by now means I won’t hear back at all? I live in Oregon but am attending University in Scotland, so I haven’t had the chance to speak to anyone face-to-face. Also, would you have any advice on anything I can do to follow up on my application as this is a position I am really passionate about.
    Thank you for your help!

  7. Hi Gemma! Thank you for your question. All applicants receive an automated email acknowledging receipt of their application. Given the volume of applicants, we are unable to respond to each individually. The Intel Finance recruiting team regularly reviews candidates in our database. Should any incremental needs arise, they will contact qualified candidates directly regarding next steps in the screening process. Once again, thank you for your interest and passion for working at Intel Finance.
