Weng Kuan Tan

Corporate Vice President, Client Computing Group General Manager, Connected Home Division Weng Kuan Tan is corporate vice president of the Client Computing Group (CCG) and general manager of Connected Home Division within CCG. In this position, he leads the Connected Home Division to deliver on our vision to transform people’s lives with trusted and effortless smart home experiences. This is achieved through delivering powerful broadband solutions to the home and by delivering fast, seamless and reliable connectivity solutions that enable explosion of smart connected devices within the home. Prior to leading CHD, he was the GM of CCG China and leads the various CCG teams in China with the charter to deliver turnkey solutions for the China Technology Ecosystem and the worldwide market. Before joining Intel in 2011, Tan spent 20 years in the semiconductor industry with Infineon, where he held various senior management positions, the last as president of the Wireless Division, which he held from 2008 to 2011. During his extensive tenure with Infineon, Tan was involved in the total value chain of the semiconductor business from research and development to manufacturing to Sales and Marketing. Tan received his bachelor’s degree in Communications Systems from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 1988. He earned his master’s degree from the Kellog Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University in 2004.
