Internet of Things, Intelligent Systems and Other Cool Technology

The demos inside the Intelligent Systems Zone at IDF 2013 this year were truly impressive! If you missed the show, check out below some of the key highlights that showcase compelling  examples of intelligent systems technology enabling the Internet of Things in to a reality. Experience the demos and the technologies via the  videos from the show floor to learn more.

It was exciting to see the Intel® Atom™ processors E3800 product family (formerly Bay Trail) and the fastest Atom that Intel has ever produced, in action! Get a glimpse of the possibilities with a dual-display 1080p HD MP4 decode running multiple video streams. This can support navigation, conferencing, digital security, multi-format streaming/video casting applications, and more.

Perceptual computing is a hot topic these days and this demo is the best I’ve seen in a retail environment. It uses speech recognition and facial recognition, close-range gesture tracking, close-range finger tracking, and more. In the above video, see the CEO of Unlimited Realities walk through a demo running on the 4th Generation Intel® Core™ processor and pick out the color schemes for a new Lexus IS-F 350!

The computer mouse that we all know and love may be going the way of the dinosaur. Eye tracking technology is a more direct and intuitive user interface allowing a user to control a computer with just their eyes. We partnered up with Dell and a company from Sweden, Tobii Technology to demonstrate applications for this next generation user interface.

In addition to this, the Intel World Interactive Amusement Park Experience was front and center showing how the Internet of Things is all around us.

Keep an eye out for Intel Intelligent Systems at the Amphion Forum in December and Embedded World 2014.

  1. My partner and I absolutely love your blog and find nearly all of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for.

Do you offer guest writers to write content for yourself?
I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on a lot
of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome web log!
