Gettin' Our Game On @ GDC

posted by Ken Kaplan on February 16, 2008

We’re off to the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco! We’ll be on the scene to capture and share the best mind bending eye candy we can find — from Intel’s 8-core, multi-graphics card gunnin’ Skulltrail (watch for new stories from our pal Nick Knupffer) to what’s happening with game makers harnessing multi-core PC performance.

Last year at GDC Rio Pesino, host of gaming video Podcast show “Reboot,” hooked up with Intel’s gaming director Randy Stude.

What we’re gettin’ into at GDC:

  • The gaming community keeps growing, and myGDC is giving everyone a place to network with gaming gurus, developers and technology makers.

  • Sippin’ Mountain Dews in the Intel Studio 45 Lounge with the Intel Software Network Group as they collect your big new game ideas for the Game Demo Contest — $ prizes!

  • Extreme Game Faces — PC game lovers inside Intel teamed up with some game makers last summer to create the Extreme Game Faces site, where you can keep up on gaming news, download free games and submit your Extreme Game Face photo. Here’s a cool video from the site:

Got something you want us to try and capture at GDC, let me know.
