thumbnail-copy.jpgToday, Intel joined an amicus brief filed by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) with the US Supreme Court in the case of Evans v. Georgia Regional Hospital. The case was brought by a hospital security guard who sued her former employer in the state of Georgia claiming she was targeted for discrimination because of her sexual orientation and gender nonconformity, in violation Title VII protections against sexual discrimination. Currently federal courts disagree over whether Title VII applies to discrimination based on sexual orientation. Intel opposes discrimination in all forms, and believes that diversity and inclusion are essential in the workplace, and we are pleased to join this brief along with HRC and other notable companies that support diversity.
