There’s a lot of excitement in the Intel booth after today’s announcement of 16 new Intel 45nm processors. A lot of visitors are interested in the 45nm Intel® Core™2 Duo processors for laptop PCs, which deliver even better performance and battery life in sleek new designs. The centerpiece of the booth is a 10’ tall spiral displaying 50 of the latest, coolest laptops.
Intel is showcasing amazing looking games on laptops at frame rates and viewing experiences to please even the hardest-core gamers, amazing high def video playback, cool new technologies including HD video streaming over 802.11n (with hardware from Monsoon*), and video encoding with popular consumer video editing programs (at performance increases of up to 40% with the newest Intel® Centrino® processor technology). And Intel is showcasing the stellar energy-efficiency of these Intel Centrino-based laptops with a demo showing that a laptop draws even less power than a standard incandescent light bulb or even a CFL bulb.
