Time flies. That’s one of the things I’ve learned during my journey to Intel. The internship memories that I shared with you felt fresh as I shared them in previous chapters. But now, looking back, I realize how far I have come since receiving an offer to intern at Intel. In the final chapter of this blog series, I will share my transition from an intern to a full-time employee.

After a short break following my internship, I was back at Intel the first work week of the year as a permanent, full-time employee. My first day returning to the office was so rejuvenating as I got to see all the familiar faces whom I had worked with for the past six months and so.

I realized how great it felt to be back at Intel and working with people whom I was already familiar with. There were no major adjustments needed for me to adapt back into the workplace, which was nice! What was different about being a college graduate (CG) was that I got my very own new laptop and I get to enjoy all eligible compensation & benefit as an CG with Intel Malaysia. What I learned during my internship about Intel culture, norms, code of conduct, etc. prepared me to assume this new role and to take up the new challenges I would face as I embarked on this new phase of my life.

There are times that I wonder where I will be on my first anniversary with Intel. I am sure wherever I am, I’d be very excited!

This wraps up my personal experience transforming from an ordinary undergraduate to an Intel Intern and thereafter becoming an CG at Intel Malaysia. I would like to end by sharing a quote: “The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will.” I hope you enjoyed hearing about my experiences; I enjoyed sharing them with you! I would advise you to challenge the status quo and embark on a journey like I did with a challenging, yet rewarding career with Intel Malaysia today!
