Perceptual computing is a hot topic these days and this demo is the best I’ve seen in a retail environment. It uses speech recognition and facial recognition, close-range gesture tracking, close-range finger tracking, and more. The computer mouse that we all know and love may be going the way of the dinosaur. Eye tracking technology is a more direct and intuitive user interface allowing a user to control a computer with just their eyes. We partnered up with Dell and a company from Sweden, Tobii Technology to demonstrate applications for this next generation user interface.
