John Troyer manages blogging, social media, and online community programs for VMware. He has been spreading the good word about virtualization at the VMTN Blog since 2005.

Aside from the VMTN (VMware Technical Network) Blog, the best places to get more information on VMware and virtualization technologies in general are the VMware Communities and Planet V12n, a page that aggregates dozens of the top virtualization blogs.

Before blogging at VMware, John co-founded a startup that built one of the first browsers for the Blackberry and received a Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. When he’s not blogging, he battles gophers on the foggy California coast just over the hills from VMware HQ.
