当今时代,高科技制造企业拥有世界上最具技能和受过良好教育的员工。在激烈竞争的全球环境中,大多数高科技制造型公司的领导层都认识到:它们的成功很大程度上是建立在吸引并保留高素质员工的能力基础之上的。具有竞争力的薪酬措施对绝大多数员工来说是重要的,除此之外,职业发展(Career Development)、晋升机会(Job Advancement)、理想的工作环境(Great Place To Work)也至关重要,它们将有助于创建一个有活力的公司文化。英特尔,当然也包括Fab 68的领导层,深刻体察到员工的愿望,并有意识地将这些元素建构到公司文化中去。

Hi Kirby/Wallace,
I know Intel have some people develop Six Sigma program in US, is it also available in China, especially in Dalian?
I have more than 10 years work experience in electronic industry, and work for a US company as Lean Six Sigma MBB based on Asia Pacific, so I just want to know is there any related position in Dalian or China?
By the way, I am in Dalian with MBA degree in Dalian University of Technology and B.S. degree (major:semiconductor) in Shenyang university of Technology.

Hello,Wallace. I am PanHui from DaLian University of Technology. I was interviewed at 30 Oct in DLUT. My position is Sort Engineer. Two of my schoolmates interviewed at the same day have gotten the offers at 6 Nov as Endustrial Engineer and Equipment Engineer. I am eager to know if the rest of us have the chance to get offers and when we will. Thank you very much!

楼上的一些朋友们,我觉得都看好的是在INTEL的前途和待遇,并非真正喜欢这份工作,以及对缺少对这些工作的热情. 无疑,如今大学生面临的就业压力是前所未有的。从就业的供求上说,他们处于人才供过于求的尴尬状态,如果不能在众多的毕业生中脱颖而出,那么就意味着被别人淘汰,成为过剩的那部分。从就业的环境上说,他们可能面对着一个权力侵蚀人才供求的无奈现实,如果没有过硬的背景和关系,他们可能在一开始就位于竞争的劣势,即使自己再努力也徒劳无功。在如此沉重的就业压力面前,高学费带来的高期望必然会遇冷;甚至,连基本的就业都难以实现。 但是,当您获得这份工作后…[不想多说什么了,只当笑谈,毕竟我才是一个高二学生,社会阅历太少还不够格.]

I am sorry that my last post was deleted, and I assume some of the contents are a bit sensitive or not directly linked to the recruitment of Fab68. I apologize for this.
My message here is simple: Intel is one of the greatest corporation to work for in the Semiconductor industry, and there are a large number of students who are passionate to be Intel’s employee, either in chip fabrication or software/hardware research in the Intel’s value chain. As a student interested in Semiconductor Process and Material science. Please do leave some space for potential fresh bloods.

Hi Wallace, excuse me to bother you anain. I am too anxious. Last night some of my friends got a refused letter from Intel and I didn’t. One of them was interviewed at the same day for the same position as me. What dose this mean? It’s amlost 4 weeks since I was interviewed and I haven’t informed the result. hi, Wallace. thank you for your reply. It’s reasonable you need to take a few days to work thru all of the offers. But i have the same problem as Leslie’s. Almost 4 weeks passed, but i receive no news from intel. i’m very interested in intel and I was wondering if i will be hearing from intell soon. 人力资源经理的博客谈论招聘的问题无可厚非,每一个负责任的公司对于应聘者不论录用与否都应该在一定的期限内给与明确的答复,我觉得从这方面也反映出一个公司的工作效率和办事礼仪,英特尔的名声太大了,每一个应聘者都付出了一定的时间和精力参与竞聘,大家都怀着急切的心情等待结果最后却石沉大海不了了之,真的很让人失望。对此类问题不予回应的回答就更使人们对英特尔的形象大打折扣了。

I’m a student of DUT. my major is Mechanical Engineering with English intensity. I have pass CET-4, CET-6 and TEM-4, I have also try the TOEIC and BEC higher and I’m preparing TEM-8.I have ever been the minister of the students union and done some parttime jobs. If I want to join Intel and eager to have a bright future, should I apply for it next year when I graduate or after I achieve a Master degree? Hi Harvey, I would encourage you to apply now, but also pursue the masters degree. Intel has many employees that have pursued masters and PhD positions, and were able to receive job offers after being declined with a bachelors degree. You may get a job with a bachelors degree, but the masters cannot hurt. Be persistent. Kirby

To Mr.Jefferson: FAB工作并不是一个轻松的工作;毕竟这是一个工厂,绝大部分工作是重复性的枯燥乏味的,不是design house;另一方面,我想intel FAB68 未来的process node 将会比美国或者以色列的FAB落后一个数量级;2010年FAB68量产时,intel最先进的process将是32nm抑或22nm;FAB68恐怕只会在U.S.Government所许可的90nm;最多在65nm-45nm节点;而intel这两年所招募到的将会是整个中国最优秀的半导体人才;我相信2010年中国大陆最先进的IC process 技术将不会局限在90nm;以SMIC和龙芯为代表的企业或者团队甚至会触及65nm乃至45nm的量产或研发;况且FAB68的产品线是为CPU配套的芯片组;并不是最核心的CPU本身,试问FAB68 今后将以何种人才战略来延揽技术人才,为其提供更广阔的发展空间?FAB68 的人才战略是招募最优秀的人才还是最合适的人才呢?谢谢解答(PS:本人并非技术类出身;只是想知道FAB68 在intel的体系以及在中国大陆的FAB中如何定位?)

samsung的FAB除了为了靠近美国市场而在Austin有2个FAB外,都集中在器兴和华城,未来更将进一步集中在华城(现有4座300MM FAB,2012年将有8座300MM FAB) INTEL 未来会不会也将FAB集中化?以便发挥集聚效应

Hello StevenLau, the exciting part is that manufacturing a 90nm or 65nm silicon technology is extremely complex and requires an extremely high degree of expertise. As you know, we manufacture those technologies in several of our factories world wide, and the technical quality of our engineering organizations is second to none. For technologists we have a career ladder that moves from junior engineer, to senior engineer to principle engineer, then to Sr. principle engineer, and then Fellow.
